Independent developer releases free meal planning app for Android

Saintcorp Studio, an independent software developer operating in the food and beverages sector, has launched MealBridge, a free Android application that converts a photograph of a refrigerator or pantry into a multi-day meal plan. The app is available now on Android devices and is free to download and use. It is designed for households that already have food at home but are unsure what to cook, shifting the starting point from a shopping list to the ingredients on hand.

How the app works

Users photograph their fridge or pantry, and MealBridge lists the ingredients it recognizes. The list can be corrected, and additional items can be added by search, barcode scan or manual entry. Users then specify how many people they are cooking for and select a preferred cuisine before generating a plan. Each meal opens into a Cook Mode that presents one step at a time with built-in timers.

According to the developer, the app addresses a common household problem: people often have usable food at home yet remain uncertain about what to prepare. MealBridge builds its plans from confirmed ingredients rather than from recipes that require a separate shopping trip.

Features and customization

The app identifies ingredients from a photo and allows users to add or correct items by search, barcode or typing. It generates a multi-day meal plan for one person or a group. Cuisine options include local and African, Italian and Asian dishes, while diet settings cover vegetarian, halal, high protein and low carb preferences. Any meal plan can be shared as a designed card.

MealBridge is a new product from a small independent team. The app includes an in-app feedback form, and the developer states that every message submitted is read. The company has not disclosed pricing tiers beyond the free download and use, nor has it announced a release date for other platforms.

Availability

MealBridge is available now as a free download for Android. The developer has not indicated whether an iOS version is planned. Additional information about the application and its features is expected to be published through the developer's official channels.
