Japan - September 12, 2026 - Independent developer huruki.geo today announced the public launch of VoxelDraft, a free browser-based editor for creating 3D voxel art. The tool is designed for indie game developers, digital artists, educators, and hobbyists who want to try block-based modeling without installing desktop software.

VoxelDraft brings modeling, coloring, lighting, animation, recording, and export into one lightweight browser workflow. Users can start with a template or an empty canvas, place and remove blocks, work with a palette, and refine a scene through undo and redo history. Projects can be saved locally in the browser, making it possible to return to work without setting up a desktop application or sending a project to a remote workspace.

The editor also supports animated scenes. Creators can use keyframes, layers, camera movement, and a timeline to build short motion studies or game-asset previews. Completed scenes can be recorded as GIFs and exported in VOX, OBJ, and GLB formats for use in other creative and game-development workflows. Touch-friendly controls are included for people who want to sketch ideas on a mobile device or tablet.

“VoxelDraft is meant to make voxel creation feel as immediate as sketching: open a browser, place blocks, paint, animate, record, and export,” said huruki.geo, the independent developer behind the project. “It is for people who want a lightweight 3D block editor and a quick way to test an idea before committing to a larger toolchain.”

VoxelDraft is available at https://voxeldraft.com. The basic experience is free, and the project is designed to let beginners start quickly while giving more experienced creators practical controls for building reusable assets and animated scenes. More information about the project and its accessibility and privacy-conscious approach is available at https://voxeldraft.com/about/.

VoxelDraft is an independent creative software project from Japan. It focuses on making 3D creation more approachable through a browser-based workflow, local project persistence, and continuous improvement based on user feedback. The project is intended for creators exploring voxel art, prototyping game assets, teaching basic 3D concepts, or experimenting with animated block scenes. The release is intended as a practical product update for readers interested in accessible browser tools for small-scale 3D creation and prototyping.
