EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. — October 14, 2026 — SmiForce Inc., a Minnesota-based cybersecurity and data analytics software company, today announced a 2027 pricing program for its AI-SIEM + Observability platform. The program establishes 2027 pricing for qualifying organizations based on their existing security information and event management (SIEM) licensing costs for equivalent usage. The program is available to cities, counties, K–12 school districts and mid-size enterprises through December 31, 2026.
Under the program, qualifying organizations can secure 2027 pricing at least 20% below their 2026 SIEM licensing costs for equivalent usage, with the agreed pricing held through March 2027. SmiForce provides platform setup, configuration and ongoing support to participating organizations. The company is also developing reseller partnerships to make the platform available to additional public sector and enterprise customers.
Cybersecurity Costs and Public Sector Budgets
Local governments and school districts face cybersecurity requirements alongside competing budget priorities. These organizations must maintain security capabilities while managing staffing limitations, technology expenses and evolving threats to public infrastructure.
“Local governments and school districts are being asked to defend against more serious threats with flat or shrinking budgets,” said PG Narayanan, Chief Executive Officer of SmiForce.
Federal cybersecurity agencies, including the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), have issued advisories on threats to critical infrastructure, including water systems and electric grids. Local governments and other public sector organizations may be responsible for securing systems that support these services.
Program Eligibility and Pricing
The program uses an organization's 2026 SIEM licensing costs for equivalent usage as the pricing baseline. Qualifying new customers can establish 2027 pricing at least 20% below that baseline. Enrollment is open through December 31, 2026, and the agreed pricing remains in effect through March 2027.
AI-SIEM + Observability Platform
SmiForce AI-SIEM + Observability combines security log analysis with IT observability capabilities. According to the company, the platform uses behavioral analysis to prioritize alerts, generates AI-assisted summaries with remediation steps, and produces daily security health reports for audit purposes.
The platform also integrates with Anthropic's Claude to support queries against security log data. SmiForce reports that migration typically takes one to three days following agent installation, although implementation timelines may vary by environment.
