Dark Passage Films has released the official teaser trailer for its upcoming feature film, Plucked, the award-winning Gilded Age dark comedy co-written and co-directed by Usher Morgan and Katie Vincent, ahead of the film’s limited theatrical release on November 13, 2026.
Set in 1886 New York, Plucked follows Katherine Greene (Katie Vincent), a woman determined to make one of the most radical choices available to her during the Gilded Age: divorce. When she reveals her intentions to her husband, Peter Greene (Jared Canfield), on the evening of an important dinner party, what begins as a refined social gathering quickly descends into an increasingly chaotic and darkly comedic battle of manners, marriage, and survival.
The ensemble cast includes Catherine Curtin (Stranger Things, Orange Is the New Black), J. Anthony Crane(Succession, Outer Banks), Susan Gallagher (Loki, Cobra Kai), alongside Bryant Carroll (Hit Man), Jacob A. Ware(Fallout, Boardwalk Empire), and Tony D. Head (The Wire, Joker).
Plucked has already earned significant festival recognition, winning Best Feature Film at the East Village New York Film Festival, Best Dark Comedy Feature at the New York International Film Awards, and the Best Film Award at the Garden State Film Festival, where it celebrated its world premiere. The film has also been selected for the Riverside International Film Festival and the Manhattan Film Festival, where it screened as the Opening Night Film.
Following its festival run, Plucked will open in limited theatrical release on November 13, 2026, in New York, Los Angeles, and Rhode Island, before arriving on major digital platforms on January 15, 2027.
Principal photography took place over 32 days at Woodbine Cottage, a historic 1873 mansion located on Newport, Rhode Island’s Historic Hill.
