J2! Announces New Beginnings Initiative and
Welcomes Shadowbox Studios as Official Creative Venue Partner
Following two years of growth and development, the Jessye Norman School of the Arts - Eastside Atlanta (JNSA2) South DeKalb's premier tuition-free visual and performing arts program for local school-aged students is embracing a new chapter under the name that students, families, teachers, and supporters have affectionately used since its founding: J2!
The updated name marks the first step in a broader community-driven brand development initiative designed to strengthen the organization's identity, deepen engagement, and celebrate the vibrant culture that has emerged around the program. Guided by the theme "New Beginnings," students, teachers, parents, and community stakeholders will be invited to participate in future conversations about the organization's visual identity, messaging, and long-term direction.
"This transition is more than a rebranding exercise," said Founder and Board Chair, Soyini Coke. "J2! Joy to Infinity is a joyful declaration of who we are, the community we have built together, and the limitless potential of our students. This season is about new beginnings, renewed creativity, and embracing the future together."
J2! is also excited to announce that Shadowbox Studios will serve as the program’s Creative Venue Partner for Summer Camp 2026. Known for its world-class facilities and commitment to storytelling and creativity, Shadowbox Studios will provide an inspiring environment for students as they explore music, dance, theater, visual arts, literacy, and cultural enrichment.
“Shadowbox Studios’ collaboration with J2! reflects a shared commitment to nurturing the next generation of talent and ensuring that students have the opportunity to learn, create, and dream in spaces where stories come to life every day,” said Jeremiah Cullen, Director of Global Sales for Shadowbox Studios.
The program will culminate with the J2! Summer Showcase on Friday, July 17, 2026, where students will share the music, dance, theater, and visual arts they have developed throughout the program. Families, friends, and members of the community are invited to celebrate the creativity and accomplishments of Atlanta's rising young artists. J2! Summer Camp 2026 will take place June 29 through July 17, 2026, at Shadowbox Studios, 1415 Constitution Rd SE, Atlanta, GA 30316 The three-week tuition-free program will operate Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
