Film Completion Announcement

Independent filmmaker Sina Sahelgozin has officially completed post-production on his latest short film, Sunrise, a psychological drama that examines the emotional impact of war through a deeply personal and symbolic cinematic approach. The film is now prepared for submission to international film festivals.

Produced, directed, written, edited, and photographed by Sahelgozin, Sunrise presents the story of a solitary man attempting to preserve hope while enduring the invisible psychological burden of war. Rather than relying on conventional dialogue or action, the film communicates its narrative through visual storytelling, atmosphere, television broadcasts, sound design, and carefully constructed symbolism.

Filmed during the winter of 2026 inside the filmmaker's own living space, Sunrise was intentionally designed as an intimate character study that reflects the emotional isolation experienced by civilians during times of conflict. The limited location serves as both a physical setting and a metaphor for psychological confinement.

The production emphasizes cinematic realism, natural performances, dramatic lighting, and environmental sound to create an immersive viewing experience. Persian television news broadcasts and carefully selected musical elements are used to reinforce the emotional tension while maintaining the film's minimalist narrative structure.

According to the production team, principal photography, editing, color grading, sound design, subtitle preparation, promotional artwork, and final mastering have all been completed. The finished film is now entering its international festival campaign.

As an independent filmmaker, Sina Sahelgozin continues to focus on character-driven stories that examine human resilience, mental health, identity, and the emotional consequences of extraordinary circumstances. His filmmaking approach favors visual expression over exposition, allowing audiences to interpret meaning through imagery and atmosphere.

Sunrise represents another step in Sahelgozin's ongoing commitment to independent cinema and international film exhibition. The project has been developed specifically with international audiences in mind while remaining rooted in authentic human emotion and universal themes of hope, fear, loneliness, and perseverance.
