BLACK SEA COAST, Romania – Astryon Festival, a new international electronic music project, will take place on June 18–20, 2027, on Romania's Black Sea coast. The festival is expected to bring together over 200 established and emerging DJs and music producers from Romania and around the world.
Founded by Ancuta Stefan, the event aims to create a platform that highlights the diversity and future of electronic music. The three-day programme will feature multiple stages, showcasing a range of genres from techno and house to ambient and experimental sounds.
“We wanted to create a festival that not only celebrates electronic music but also fosters a community where both renowned artists and up-and-coming talents can share their work,” said Stefan. “The Black Sea coast offers a unique setting that we believe will enhance the overall experience for attendees.”
The festival will be held along the Romanian shoreline, known for its scenic beaches and growing tourism infrastructure. Organizers expect to attract a young audience aged 18 to 45, with ticket prices and travel packages to be announced closer to the event date.
Astryon Festival is part of a broader trend of electronic music events expanding into Eastern Europe. Romania has seen a rise in music tourism, with festivals like Untold and Neversea drawing international crowds. Astryon aims to carve out its own niche by focusing on electronic music exclusively and providing a platform for lesser-known artists.
The lineup will be curated through a combination of invited headliners and an open call for submissions, ensuring a mix of global stars and local talent. More details on the artist roster and stage design are expected in early 2027.
