KANSAS CITY, Missouri — August 6, 2026 — The Health Pals Company has launched Ultra Pass, a cash-pay pharmacy and telemedicine membership intended to provide members with a defined set of healthcare services and eligible prescription medications for a recurring fee.
The program costs $299 for each 30-day membership period. It includes access to primary-care telehealth services, eligible generic medications available through Pill Pass, certain GLP-1 weight-management treatments and vitamin B-12 injections. Prescriptions and clinical approval are required when applicable.
Health Pals developed Ultra Pass in response to financial circumstances that can affect access to routine healthcare, including job losses, changes in insurance coverage and high deductibles.
As part of the program’s development, Health Pals conducted an internal comparison of the medications available through Ultra Pass with commonly used prescription medications in the United States. Based on that analysis, the company reports that the program includes more than 50 percent of the medications appearing on the reference list it evaluated.
The comparison concerns the program’s overall medication list. It does not mean that Ultra Pass will cover more than half of the medications required by every individual patient. Medication availability also depends on factors such as the prescribed drug, strength, quantity, clinical appropriateness, fulfillment requirements and the state in which the member is located.
Ultra Pass is not health insurance. It does not cover hospitalization, emergency treatment, all medications, all clinicians, diagnostic services or the full range of specialty care. Services and medications are subject to the program’s current terms and geographic availability.
The new membership incorporates Pill Pass, an existing Pill Pals Pharmacy program covering more than 280 generic medications. Pill Pass also remains available separately and does not require enrollment in Ultra Pass.
The initiative is part of Health Pals’ broader work involving pharmacy services, telemedicine and healthcare-access projects. The company is also working with attorney Henry C. Service through Med Pals, an affiliated effort focused on healthcare infrastructure in underserved communities.
Med Pals is developing a Kansas City project at the historic Lincoln Building in the 18th & Vine district. The planned healthcare business hub is expected to support pharmacy, clinical, manufacturing and related operations.
