European investors seeking ethical financial instruments aligned with Islamic principles will soon have access to a new Sharia-compliant proprietary trading firm, following a strategic partnership between Saudi billionaire Abdullah bin Sulaiman Al Rajhi and KM Global Capital, a Manchester-based investment firm. The initiative aims to meet growing demand for faith-based financial solutions across Europe, where interest in ethical finance has risen steadily.
The firm will operate under the name KM Global Capital and be headquartered in Manchester, United Kingdom, with operations expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026. It will focus on equity, commodity, and crypto trading while avoiding derivatives and leveraged instruments, in compliance with Islamic finance principles that prohibit interest (riba) and excessive uncertainty (gharar). A Sharia supervisory board will oversee activities to ensure adherence to these principles.
Abdullah bin Sulaiman Al Rajhi, a prominent Saudi investor with interests across banking, finance, and investments, brings capital and regional market experience to the venture. KM Global Capital specializes in spot trading and the development of Sharia-compliant financial products. The partnership combines Al Rajhi's resources with KM Global Capital's expertise in Islamic finance to create a trading platform designed specifically for European investors.
"This partnership combines Abdullah bin Sulaiman Al Rajhi's experience and capital resources with our expertise in Sharia-compliant finance to grow and expand a trading platform designed for European investors," said KM Global Capital CEO Kam.
The launch comes as the global Islamic finance sector continues to expand, with institutions exploring new products and services to meet the needs of Muslim and ethical investors. While some conventional financial institutions have introduced Islamic finance services, dedicated Sharia-compliant proprietary trading firms remain limited in Europe. The new firm aims to fill this gap by providing structured trading services focused on compliance, accessibility, and investor education.
In addition to trading, the firm will establish an educational division to promote financial literacy in Islamic finance among retail and institutional investors. A series of seminars and webinars is planned for 2027.
