Digital Caregiving Community, a caregiving advocacy and publishing organization founded by author Stacey Clarke, announced the release of The Digital Caregiving Planning Manual: How to Organize, Track, and Simplify Caregiving in a Digital World on August 31, 2026. The manual is available in paperback, hardcover, and Kindle e-book formats through Amazon and other retailers in the United States. It was created to help family caregivers manage the medical, financial, legal, and daily-life details involved in caring for a relative or loved one.
According to a 2025 report from AARP and the National Alliance for Caregiving, an estimated 63 million Americans, or nearly one in four adults, provided care for an adult or child with a serious health condition or disability in the previous year, an increase of 20 million people since 2015. The report found that most caregivers take on the role without formal training or preparation, and are responsible for coordinating appointments, medication schedules, financial matters, and legal documentation.
The Digital Caregiving Planning Manual includes organizational tools and worksheets covering medical history, appointments, and medication tracking; financial and legal document organization; daily care schedules and task management; emergency contacts and other essential information; and templates intended to support ongoing care coordination. The manual is self-published through IngramSpark and distributed through Amazon and additional retail channels.
Stacey Clarke, the manual's author, said the resource was developed in response to her own caregiving experience. “Caregiving is hard enough without also having to build a system for tracking it,” Clarke said. “This manual is intended to help caregivers spend less time managing information and more time with the person they are caring for.”
