Colorlight, a provider of LED display control and calibration solutions, today announced the release of Calibration Pro, the latest version of its professional calibration software. The update introduces real‑time thermal dynamic compensation, enhanced multi‑grayscale correction, and support for irregular‑shaped screens, addressing key challenges faced by broadcast studios, virtual production stages, and large‑format digital signage.
LED displays consist of millions of individual light sources, each with inherent variations in chips, drivers, and packaging materials. While these differences are negligible per pixel, they become visible as uneven brightness, color mismatch, and noticeable seams on uniform backgrounds, low‑grayscale content, and under camera monitoring. Calibration measures and corrects these variations to achieve visual consistency.
Calibration Pro integrates with Colorlight’s CCM6000 scientific‑grade camera to capture luminance and chromaticity data at the pixel level. The software’s new algorithm applies independent correction values for brightness and color, and the updated thermal model compensates for color drift caused by temperature changes during operation—a feature particularly valuable for long‑duration events and outdoor installations. The system also supports curved, spherical, and other non‑flat screens through an advanced mapping function.
