HANNOVER, Germany, October 19, 2026 — GalleryDock announced its integrated approach to digital image and print sales through online photo galleries for photographers. The Hannover-based software provider combines client image presentation, photo selections and optional purchasing within the same gallery, connecting photograph delivery with subsequent orders.

The announcement focuses on the shop workflow within GalleryDock’s client gallery platform. It addresses assignments where clients receive an agreed selection of photographs and may later purchase additional digital files or physical prints.

Digital photographs and print products in one gallery

Photographers can configure the gallery’s available products, sizes and prices. Clients view the photographs associated with their assignment, review the options offered and place eligible products in a shopping cart before proceeding to checkout.

Physical products can include photo prints, posters and wall art, depending on the offering configured for the gallery. Digital image purchases remain distinct from print orders: one provides a file, while the other concerns a physical product.

The company’s description of its online gallery with an integrated store sets out the relationship between finished photographs, product choices and checkout. The gallery software is not a general-purpose retail catalog or a substitute for the photographer’s own product and service agreements.

The shop is optional. Photographers can also use a gallery for viewing, selections and downloads without offering products for sale. Which options clients see depends on the gallery configuration and the assignment.

Image selections remain separate from purchases

GalleryDock also supports favorite selections and image-specific comments when enabled. The platform’s online photo proofing workflow allows client selections to remain associated with the corresponding photographs.

For portrait assignments, favorites can identify images requested for further editing. In a completed wedding or family collection, they may record a client’s preferred photographs. Marking a favorite does not itself create a purchase or a print order.

Photographers determine the images available for download and whether additional purchases are offered. These settings distinguish viewing, selection, delivery and ordering rather than treating every client action as a transaction.

Questions about the announced workflow

What does the announcement cover?

It covers GalleryDock’s combination of client gallery presentation, digital image sales and physical print ordering. The focus is the relationship between those functions within a photography assignment.

Can the same gallery offer downloads and physical prints?

Yes. The photographer can make digital files and print products available within the gallery. The products, prices and download permissions depend on the configured offering.

Does selecting a favorite place an order?

No. Favorite selections support image review and communication. A purchase requires the client to follow the applicable ordering and checkout process.

Is a shop required for every gallery?

No. The sales functions are optional. A gallery can instead be configured for image presentation, client selections and permitted downloads.
